I have lists for pretty much everything in my life – work projects, books I need to read, people I’d like to meet again, foods I need to try out etc.
I am one of those people who need to be continually reminded of the things they need to do.
From the A4 notebook to the Palm Pilot I had in 1999 to Remember The Milk, Things and Clear apps to name a few – I have tried numerous tools to capture all of my lists in a meaningful way that prompts action and the best one to date has to be Wunderlist.
For want of a better name – Wunderlist is a to-do-list program that works across desktops, mobiles and tablets.
As well as being highly intuitive – there are 3 things (does heaps of other things too) that make it for me:
1. I am always up to date with my lists – syncs lists beautifully across all of my devices from iPad to desktop (basics I know but many tools get this so wrong)
2. I can get people involved with my lists – shares my lists with others who can edit and comment
3. I get pushed to get things done – schedules my tasks with due dates, reminders and notifications
You maybe thinking other apps/programs do the same thing but it will be hard to find something as easy and slick to use as Wunderlist.
I could write more but you have to take a test drive to see whether it’s right for you. If you’re looking for tips on how to prioritise – I’d highly recommend reading Getting Things Done by David Allen.
Wunderlist definitely improves my day but I would definitely like to hear your thoughts.
